This concert brings together two works separated by nearly two centuries:

Mozart’s Quartet No. 19 in C major, K. 465, better known as the "Dissonance" Quartet. Characterized by unexpected harmonies, Mozart crafts throughout the piece a subtle interplay of contrasts and ambiguities, lending this quartet a truly unique character.

And György Ligeti’s Quartet No. 1, titled "Métamorphoses nocturnes", a work filled with sudden shifts and small rhythmic cells that gradually transform, giving rise to a mysterious and unsettling atmosphere. It is an intense piece, guiding the listener through soundscapes in constant flux.

Listening to these two works—so different in time and style, yet equally bold in how they challenge expectations—we are invited to reconsider the very idea of musical tradition.
